As required by Department of Environmental Quality regulations, Dominion Energy is hosting a public briefing on their new proposed “Chesterfield Energy Reliability Center” on Nov. 16.
***Environmental and community partners (including Friends of Chesterfield, CCAN, Sierra Club, Clean Virginia and Appalachian Voices) are hosting a community meeting at 5 p.m. with information and snacks (also at the SpringHill Suites, Madison Room) before Dominion hosts a public briefing at from 6-8pm.***
You are invited to stop by the community meeting first to hear the concerns related to the project from Chesterfield County residents before heading to Dominion’s briefing to ask questions and hold them accountable for wanting to raise your electric bills and bring more pollution to the area.
This 1000MW facility would burn both gas and oil and increase emissions in the area. This region has already experienced 80 years of air pollution from the Chesterfield Power Plant.
